We currently have the following volunteer positions available:
Location: The 519 Community Centre, North Wall , 519 Church Street
Dates: Mid-April to June.
Position: Painter’s Assistant (4 positions)
This high profile wall will be the north gateway for the Church Street Mural Project. The image by John Kuna will be executed by artist Christiano De Araujo who worked together with artist Troy Brooks on the southern mural just south of Carlton St. Volunteers are needed to help with prepping and painting the wall. This is an ideal volunteer position for someone who would like to be mentored by an industry expert in large mural application. Work would be mostly during the day and some evenings and weekends. Volunteers will be required to work on a scissor lift at some times.
